MASKS EXEMPTION POLICY
Panda Pediatrics is in agreement with the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics statement on masks for children.
Our policy is that most children should wear masks, with very few exceptions as listed:
Children < 2 years of age
Any child who is asleep, incapacitated, unconscious, or not breathing
Child with sensory processing disorder who is unable to wear a mask without excessive trauma or frequent manipulation
Children with behavioral health diagnoses or development delays that prevent them from wearing a mask or are unable to wear a mask without frequent manipulation
If a parent/guardian believed their child fits the stated criteria for exemption, a letter stating so will only be issued after a conversation with your primary pediatrician.
